This is the east exit of Urasa station. Urasa station is a train station located in Minami Uonuma-shi. It has shinkansen line (Joetsu shinkansen connecting Tokyo and Niigata city). There is a cheaper alternative to commute to Tokyo from this station (local train or express highway bus).

Well, that's worth knowing. My wife and I will be taking the train from Niigata to Tokyo in about a month at the end of a two-week vacation in Japan, so we will pass through your town. We enjoy Japan very much - this will be our third visit.
